Our savory Creamy Mushroom Barley Soup packs a ton of flavor and warms the soul on a cold day.
If you are in a rush, in a large soup pot, add 8 cups cold water and stir in contents of bag. Bring to a boil and reduce heat, simmer, stirring frequently. Cook until the flavors are thoroughly combined, at least 30 minutes. At this point, add 1/3 cup heavy cream, stir in gently. You can also add 1/4-1/2 cup sherry. Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired
