Tandoori Hot Pot
Tandoori gets its name from the clay oven it is traditionally cooked in, the tandoor. Usually chicken is marinated in yogurt with an incredibly complex mix of hot Indian spices, and then roasted in the extremely hot tandoor oven.
Our Tandoori seasoning on the other hand — is a blend of coriander, cumin, garlic, paprika, ginger, cardamom, —combined with shiitake mushrooms and fresh tarragon for a soup that becomes exotic! This is one of our favorite soups.
Remember: Add Soup Base to Taste!
Whether it’s grilled, sautéed, baked, or roasted - dice up 1-2 good size cooked chicken breasts. Set to side.
Bring 8 cups of water to a boil, add this bag of specialty spices and ingredients; add your cooked chicken & any left-over veggies. Bring to boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes.
Garnish in bowl with fresh coriander or tarragon...
Add a 1/2 can of pumpkin pure and 1/2 cup of coconut milk with a few diced tomatoes to your gourmet soup! Authentic Indian cuisine at its best!
When ready, discard bay leaves. Add salt and ground pepper to taste.
